In Grade 10 before that subject can be offered to Grades 10-12 (senior phase), no fewer than 10 pupils must select that subject; if less than 10, their parents will be approached with a view to changing the subject course. If too many choose an optional subject, pupils will be selected; some may then have to choose subjects again.
Currently the Grade 10 subjects offered are in line with the latest FET requirements.
